Not So Grand Jury
Thomas Crown Affair
In this episode, Geoff, Mike, Derrick and special guest Matt Simpson discuss the Thomas Crown Affair (1999). Matt is a corporate attorney and currently the Co-Chair of the Private Equity Practice at Mintz Levin in Washington, D.C. Matt and Derrick start the podcast with a separate conversation breaking down the early scenes in the movie involving Thomas Crown selling his company (or basically robbing another company with the help of his lawyers). Afterwards, Mike explains the Fourth Amendment search and seisure issues, and Geoff talks about all the crimes that Thomas Crown committed, or likely committed, in the movie.
The sponsor of the podcast is Moore Law PLLC, a law firm that focuses on business law and general commercial litigation. If you would like to set up a free consultation, please fill out the form located at https://www.mooreatty.com/contact.
Thank you to our editor Colleen. And thank you very much to Matt for taking the time to join us to chat about M&A (and some more fun things that may be part of a future sidebar).
